Weird Margin using ansi codes

Postby drkmirror » Fri Apr 30, 2010 10:13 pm

Using ansi code to bold a few lines in a script. this puts a weird margin down the left side about 3 chrs wide and the widow goes transparent.
if I toggle force carriage return the return acts as normal till the script refreshes.

example http://www.shadowsvail.com/img/snip2.jpg

anything that can fix this or is it a bug ?

#!/bin/bash

echo -e "Line 1"
echo -e "Line 2"
echo -e "\033[1mBold Line\033[0m"
echo -e "Line 3"
echo -e "Line 4"

soon as the script refreshes it goes all weird
Works fine in the terminal
