GeekTool and proxy server

Postby howardm » Wed Oct 06, 2010 5:38 am

At work I have to utilize a proxy server [xxxx.proxya.pac] when using a web browser.

I use Shell Scripts that contain web addresses to get weather-related information. Not unexpectedly, these don't display when I'm at work.

Is there a way to overcome this problem ?

Thanks.

Hi,

For image geeklet, geek tool will use system proxy settings

For other geeklets, it is the responsibility of the program you are using to fetch things from internet to provide a way to set proxy settings. It is an argument of curl command for example.
